| Attitude is Everything |
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude in life. Attitude is more important than fact, than the past, than education, than money, than circumstance, than failures, than successes. It’s more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company, a church a home. I’m convinced that life is 10 percent of what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it” -Author Unknown |

| As Parents... |
We want to raise happy, confident children who have fulfilling, balanced lives themselves. Children change us forever. They alter our lives, our perspective and our priorities. They bring us love, laughter and fun along with anxiety, hard work and heartache.
Parents today have to boldly confront the media culture which increasingly acts as the "the third parent" by influencing each children's attitudes, values, and behaviors. We need to understand how our children are affected by this media brainwashing. By coaching our children, our goal is to help them understand that what they see in the media is for entertainment purposes and not reality.
We need to shape their values and give them strong roots and wings. We must also appreciate their need to Individuate.
We need to coach our kids instead of controlling or lecturing them. Find the learning moments to get the message across. They will reflect and hear our voice when they are in tough situations.
Develop patience and understanding as rational discussions with teens are not the norm.
We need to appreciate and believe that we play a critical role in our children's development.
What a special opportunity we have to create a legacy that can carry on to our children's children.
We should educate ourselves about health matters and check out Parent as Coach
We have but one chance to be our best, for ourselves, our family and our children.
